Details
In the extension of the Stephansfeld park behind the cemetery, more than 230 trees occupy a herbaceous clearing, inviting us to stroll and discover: different varieties of oak, Brumath's emblematic tree whose fruit appears on the town's coat of arms, fir, maple, willow, spruce, cypress, beech, hornbeam, larch, lime, wild fruit trees, holly, yew.... But also a common catalpa, a Henry's linden, an American honeylocust, an American copalm, a Virginia tulip tree, a paulownia and a medlar tree!
Trees from here and elsewhere, some of which were present in our regions before the last ice age, 150,000,000 years ago.
