Founded in 1905, the same year as the opening of the Historical Museum, which is its headquarters, SHAH is faithful to its long history and its vocation to make known and develop the ancient and recent history of our city and its region.
By participating in our activities, you will have many opportunities to experience real moments of encounters and discoveries around the "big" and "small" history.
The Haguenau Historical and Archaeological Society is open to anyone who, without being an experienced historian, is interested in the history, architecture, heritage, culture, economy, arts of our city and its forest but who also wishes to open up to other horizons. Our activities will contribute to a better understanding of our current society and to better control its future.
The SHAH aims to be a place of meeting, sharing and conviviality.
