Our first traditional Alsatian restaurant was born in the heart of Haguenau, in one of the town's most emblematic buildings. L'Ancienne Douane is first and foremost a meeting between lovers of local cuisine and a unique place steeped in history, which inspired our name.
Favoring home-cooked dishes that highlight regional products and Alsatian gastronomy, we prepare all our recipes using fresh, local ingredients. In the kitchen, the chef and his brigade take the time to prepare generous, gourmet specialties, and every day offer you new gustatory discoveries with suggestions from the market.
In the dining room, our team welcomes you in a setting that revisits the usual codes of Alsatian brasseries, while remaining authentic and full of charm. We offer home-made tartes flambées, local beer and a wide range of Alsatian specialities with the flavours of our beautiful region.
